Showing Our Stripes for Rare Disease Day

February 28 is Rare Disease Day. At EaZyHold, we’re proud to stand with the millions of individuals and families who navigate life with a rare disease every day.

This Friday, February 28, the world comes together to observe Rare Disease Day. The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) organizes this annual global awareness event in the U.S. This year’s theme is #ShowYourStripes. It calls on all of us to celebrate everyone touched by a rare disease.

The Numbers Behind the Day

NORD reports that more than 30 million Americans currently live with a rare disease. That is nearly 1 in 10 people. Yet many rare conditions still lack effective treatments. Patients often go undiagnosed for years and receive far too little attention. Rare Disease Day exists to change that.

Why This Day Matters to Us

At EaZyHold, our mission has always been about more than products. We believe in independence, dignity, and making everyday life more accessible for everyone. Many of the individuals we serve live with conditions that affect grip strength, fine motor skills, and hand function. Some of those conditions fall under the rare disease umbrella. This includes certain forms of muscular dystrophy, rare connective tissue disorders, and neurological diseases.
